My First Sleepover!

This is Katie talking - my mom has been caught up with other things and has neglected the blog so I'm taking some liberties here and posting about some things I really enjoyed doing!

Over a month ago (yep that's how far behind my mom is) my best friend Maddie got to spend the night with me. Now we do spend every M-F together and every Sunday morning together, but spending the night was really something special! We had a nice dinner of spaghettios and mac and cheese. Plus some grapes for dessert! YUMMY!

Then we played a fun game of racing down the sidewalk.

Then we raced up the sidewalk. Usually, we race up then down, but for our sleepover we switched it up a bit!

Then we played follow the leader (of course I was the leader...it was my house, my rules) through the bushes and around the yard.

Next Maddie showed me how to take big girl steps from the front porch. It took me a few times to get it, but Maddie's demonstration really helped!

Then mom and dad made us go inside and get ready for bed. We got to take a bath together and it was super fun! Mom styled our hair and even when it's wet, mine is curly and Maddie's is straight!

Lastly we put on our pajamas and were supposed to head to bed, but we snuck downstairs and tried to get back outside when dad was out there with Jack! Mom busted us and we climbed back up the stairs and headed for bed. Then the most amazing thing happened...I went to sleep and when I woke up the next morning, Maddie was still there! It was so cool to wake up and get to start playing all over again! This must be what siblings feel like...(hint hint mom and dad!)
