Step By Step, Oooh Baby!

No video to prove it - but Katie walked on Sunday completely on her own! She took four little steps, left right left right, and then plopped into Doug. Hasn't done it again - but it still counts!

Tell Me Have You Seen Her?

The above-mentioned "her" refers to both me as a blogger and my baby girl! As you will see in these pictures, she not only looks different in each picture, but she looks so grown! Where is my baby!

Just before Katie turned 10 months old, we went to Summerville for a Wilhelm family lunch/picnic/pool extravaganza. Katie spent her time in the pool with her grandaddy and loved it! It was probably a last hurrah for the pool now that summer is officially over!

One of her favorite things to do these days is feed Jack! She loves to feed him puffs when she is hanging out in the walker and Jack is a fan of it too! Also, when Jack comes in from going potty, he gets cheese and Katie loves to play "one for you, one for me" with his cheese treats!

Katie also started going to Weekday at Shandon one morning a week. It helps give my mom a break and the girls (Katie and Madison) get to have fun with other babies at church for a few hours. This was Katie on her first day of school - the expression makes me think she was a little anxious, but she did just fine!

Katie is now 10 months old and doing so many new things. She is enjoying exploring all over the house and loves some time on her own to crawl around and find things she shouldn't be getting into, namely the pantry!

Another favorite of hers is the magazine basket. The other day she pulled out a nutrisystem coupon and handed it to me. I could be offended but I like to think she doesn't know what she was doing!

I mentioned in an earlier post that she loves her Rock n Roll mirror. This is the best picture I have of it, but she will jam for a long time to that thing! She loves seeing her face light up in the mirror and she bounces along to the beat when the music plays. I highly recommend this toy!

Katie has started showing more and more personality this month too. I think we've seen the first bits of a temper. When she is done eating in the high chair, she grunts at us indicating her desire to be out and down on the floor. Lord, help us with this child!

Our little baby girl is growing up before our very eyes. I can not believe she is 10 months old and I am starting to dread the one year mark and get teary eyed just thinking about it.

PS - The pictures are courtesy of my new camera! I got a D-SLR for my birthday and am loving it! I haven't had much time to read up on what it can do, but apparently it specializes in morphing my child's face into different appearances in every picture!
