How Old?

My wonderful husband had a birthday last Friday but there's a slight discrepancy on how old he actually turned? But considering that for the last few days he has complained about his back hurting, being tired, and how heavy a tree was - I think he's the older of the two choices on the cake!

 

We had a big weekend that started with us both taking 1/2 days off on Friday and we went to lunch and a matinee of Date Night. It was super funny and fun to have a date-afternoon together to see it.

Then we had a party sub from Sub Station II and dove into that with a few friends! Saturday we got lots of work done around the house - inside and out. Doug planted a new tree in the front yard to replace the magnolia tree I was less than thrilled with that was already there when we moved in. It's a beautiful Purple Plum that looks perfect with the brick! Thanks to his dad for picking it out - it made a great gift!

We had his family and my parents over for lunch on Sunday. We had spaghetti with meatballs, salad, bread and this super delicious chocolate cake! It's been a while since I have had anything other than butter cream icing - and so this rich chocolate fudgey goodness was so good!

Doug got some fun gifts and he was most excited about a new blu ray player (which hopefully means we have a PS3 for sale) and new floormats for his car. I was most excited about a nice new white polo shirt that looks very nice on him.
