Last Sunday, our church had it's annual outdoor carnival. I haven't been in a few years but was excited to get to take Katie. I was signed up to work Toddler Town so I assumed I could just let Katie meander around Toddler Town while I supervised and played. BUT - Toddler Town was actually a big bounce house which would be more appropriately named Middle School Municipal District.
Luckily my parents were there with me and took Katie around to some more age appropriate activities. There were some smaller slides for kids her age and plastic swimming pool filled with bubble solution and wands to make bubbles.
In all honesty, I was glad she was too young for most of the things because the lines were out of control! I don't look forward to the day where we will have to stand in line and wait and wait for a 15 second ride. Basically - I am not cut out for Disney World.
After my shift at Toddler Town, I met back up with parents and found some other friends to play with! I shared a sno-cone with Maddie and Katie and felt like Mary Poppins feeding pigeons. They were drawn to me, leaning forward trying to wait patiently for their turn!
After all of our volunteering, we had worked up an appetite and headed indoors for some real food. While my parents were feeding Katie - I helped Caleb keep his hands clean by feeding him some pizza!
