Baylor - 4 Months

This little boy has simply stolen my heart! I light up when I'm around him. He is so happy and it's such a joy to watch him grow into his own little personality.

This month we found out that Baylor needed to get fitted for a DOC band...basically a helmet to help his head flattening and facial distortion. I look at this picture and think to myself - what facial distortion? He seems so fine to me - but after going for the analysis and consultation - I could definitely see it. He scored at a "severe" level on two of the three markers and "moderate to severe" on the third. We are set to get the band on January 2nd.

Baylor also had his first ear infection this month...I took him in for his 4 month shots and came out with double ear infections for both kids!

Baylor continues to be happiest when Katie is around and she still loves him just as much. He's becoming so much more interactive with us and his toys. He got a floor mobile from Santa for Christmas and spends most of his days under it trying to grab at the toys.

I wish I could freeze time right here and avoid the DOC band and the weekly fittings, avoid the medicine twice a day for 10 days, avoid more weekly therapy - but most of all AVOID GOING BACK TO WORK FULL TIME. My heart is breaking for the little things that I will miss each day...
