One of Katie's favorite things to do is create art! She loves play doh, paiting, coloring, chalk...Sometimes the only way I can get her out of the car to go to school is to tell her they're working on an art project inside...Which isn't a lie - they're always coloring when I drop her off. I took the afternoon of her actual birthday off from work and we had a mother-daughter playdate at Tag It Art Studio. One flat fee gets you an hour and a half of playing with all their fun art supplies and none of the hassle of clean up.
A child's paradise...A wall full of paper and paints and markers and stencils...The hardest part is deciding what to do first!
We started out simple with plain paper and blue and purple paints. We drew some clouds and horses and pigs.
Who am I to put her creativity in a box. Paint away my dear child...Easy to say when it's not my kitchen table and I'm positive it's all water based washable paint.
After the painting of the hands, we headed back to the wall of supplies and picked out more stencils and lots of colored paper. We made about 20 mini-masterpieces while we where there and she's since given them away to people as gifts. Treasure those pieces people - those will be worth millions one day!

So? A future artist or a future vet or a future dentist? Who knows? She would be awesome at any of those careers!! You should make it a habit of taking the day off on her birthday and y'all doing something extra special!
What a perfect place to go on your birthday! She looks like she had a blast!
