This place has lots of animals to look at and some that are out in the open to pet! The first animals we saw were some pot-bellied pigs which was probably incredibly confusing to the kids because they were black and not pink. I'm sure they thought we didn't know what we were talking about! Katie rolled her eyes when I said they were pigs and thought, "Yeah right mom - pigs are pink."
There was a donkey that Cole absolutely loved. There were brushes for the donkey and he groomed it perfectly. Katie was trying to muster up the nerve to go and brush the donkey and just when she got about 6 inches away, he brayed and scared her off.
We missed the first round of hayrides so we got some extra time to explore the place. We walked through a few barns and saw goats and sheep and a horse. There was a bunny that all the kids got to pet. They had fun playing on this covered wagon but refused to pose for a picture - so this is the best I got!
While we were waiting, the girls spied over the fence at the pumpkin patch trying to eye which one they would pick to take home! Finally, the tractor came back for us and took us around the farm over to the pumpkin patch. All the kids picked through several different pumpkins before they settled on the perfect one.
After they found the one they wanted to keep, they took turns sitting in another big wagon and posing with their prize pumpkin!
The hayride then took us further around the farm and we enjoyed looking at the pond and other animals. After the hayride finished, we played on the farm a little more, climbing fences, petting more animals, and just being cousins!
This may look like a wrestling move, but it's actually a hug! Granted, it resulted in both of them falling down and at least one of them crying (Katie's a wimp sometimes) - but it started as a hug!

What a pair. Kissing cousins in the making.
My cousins are some of my very best friends!
The photos are great of this field trip!
Could they be any cuter?!?! I agree with Susan. My cousins remain close to me and I count on them year after year.
