What Easter Eggs?

We got together with the Boozers and Clarks for a makeshift Easter Egg hunt and hamburger cookout on Good Friday. I brought lots of eggs, Jessica brought cute baskets she made for each of the kids, and Shelley made some delicious burgers. The kids were diving in and out the bag of eggs while they were in the house - but seemed to forget all about them when they got outside.

Wilson scattered the eggs on the ground and we released the babies. Caleb made a bee-line for the swing in the backyard.

 

Katie got distracted playing beauty shop with Maddie. She pulled out her bow and then spent a while trying to figure out how to get it back in.

 

Meanwhile, Barret took her distraction as an opportunity to sneak some eggs away from the girls. But Katie is too quick for him and squealed on him.

 

So we let the kids just run around and do what they wanted. This is what was left when we quit trying. Empty buckets and many eggs that needed to be picked up.
