One of my friends had a great idea for a gingerbread party to kick off the holiday season! She made the gingerbread man and tree cookies and the other moms brought treats to decorate them. It was great weather so we put all the kids outside on her deck and let them go to town!
Katie was pretty reserved when it came to how much icing went on her cookie...probably because she was eating more of it than was actually going on the cookie. I'm not sure she realized at first that she would get to eat her creations!
She decorated them with gummy bears, m&ms, skittles and sprinkles very carefully...
Then she got brave and just dumped the bowl of sprinkles on her cookie.
Here she is with her finished product! Every last centimeter was covered with some sort of topping!
While the kids enjoyed their decorating time, the moms enjoyed hanging out too. And completely by accident, I dressed the same as Baylor. I don't think I've ever even had matching outfits with Katie, much less my 3 month old son! Sorry Baylor - mommy can be pretty embarrassing sometimes!
PS - This is just one more reason I am LOVING maternity leave! I would've totally missed out on this yummy fun!
