Get Lost!

The first weekend of November, we headed out to Cease Farms in Lexington for some corn maze fun.  There was so much more than a corn maze!  It was pretty chilly but we tried to stay bundled up and enjoy everything there was to do.

This 40ft tube slide was both the high and low point of the day.  The kids all had a great time sliding on it but one crash into the person in front of you tends to spoil it for you.  Glad we got some pictures of Caleb loving it before it turned bad!
Who doesn't love a good barrel roll?  We (the parents) took turns rolling each other back and forth and then the person inside the barrel had to get out and try to run straight.  Good laughs all around.

Highlight of the day for me...The inflatable horse rodeo.  Jessica and I raced around the course and although it appears she has the lead in this picture, I was definitely the victor after she took a major spill.

An actual maze...There were several different types of mazes at the farm - marshmallow, haunted, kiddie, corn, and tire...The tire maze was probably our  favorite - maybe because it's the only one we were able to fully complete.
And animals too!  They had goats and donkeys and cows...The goats could be fed by putting their food in a can and spinning a wheel to roll the can up to the goats.  These were the smartest goats ever - as soon as we put the food in the can, they started pulled on the rope to pull them can up themselves!

Finally, the reason we actually came to the farm...The Corn Maze!  The kiddie corn maze was about 1 acre and pretty easy to navigate.  Several stop points throughout to make sure you were in the headed in the right direction!

And we couldn't leave for the day without a few more times down the big slide...Now that the trauma of Caleb's accident was erased from our minds.  My usually timid and nervous girl was having a blast!

Can't let Daddy miss out on the action.  You should've heard the screams coming from this child on the slide.  She loved every minute of it.

It's safe to say Cease Farms was well liked by adults and kids alike!  It was also one of the last things we did while Katie was still "under 3" which is usually the cut off most places have for allowing children to enter for free.  Even though we will have to pay for her to go, I'm positive we'll go back next year.

I want to go just to ride on the inflatable horses!
