This is our first year in our new home and our first year decorating a house for Christmas since Katie was born. When she was born in 2008, we didn't make the time/have the time to get anything going. Then, in 2009, we were living with the Joneses and while they did do some decorating, it wasn't our stuff so it didn't count.
On Sunday afternoon, we headed over to Lowe's to get a tree. It's not the same picturesque event as a Tree Farm and cutting down your own, but you can't beat the price!
Katie helped do some decorating on the tree but she mainly carried one bouncy snowman ornament around the whole time looking for the perfect place. The perfect place ended up being buried deep in one of the branches where it may not ever be found when the tree gets taken down in a few weeks.
We were going to push the tree back further into this corner so that it wasn't so "out there." However, Katie has decided she has to do a daily walkabout around the tree inspecting the hidden ornaments and all the lights.
Can you spot her hiding? She's also decided "behind the tree" makes a really great hiding place! And also a place to run when she's got something she shouldn't have!
