Before the show even started, the kids had a blast. There are 4 areas set up with different themes (I assume for birthday parties). The first area is a dinosaur place with this big guy sticking right out of the wall!
The 2nd is a Wizard of Oz theme with cute little murals from the movie.
The third one is an underwater adventure, again with great murals and hands on stuff for the kids.
Lastly - is a royal area with king and queen chairs. Maddie and Katie climbed right up! (Please notice Katie's "preschool ready sit still for the picture" pose with her hands on her knees!)
After running around all 4 areas before the show, we decided it was best to just sit in one of these areas for the show since the rest of the place was more auditorium/bench seating and it would be harder to get up and out if they weren't having a good time. So we sat to the left of the stage and as the lights went down, the kids sat on our laps with juice and snacks. They were perfect for the 45 minute puppet show of Jack and the Beanstalk. They laughed and clapped, made animal noises when there were animal puppets on stage and never once tried to get down and make a run for it! I was so impressed because I set myself up to see about 4 minutes of the show and then wait in the lobby until it was over!
After the show, the theater troop brought out smaller marionettes for the kids to play with. (I'm not sure if this is just a Monday thing or if they do it on Saturdays too.) The kids got to practice making them dance and move and walk along. They really seemed to get the hang of it. They kept bouncing them up and down to make all their little legs move!
After the show, we headed over to the mall for a quick food court lunch and carousel ride. The food court has some kid sized tables where Katie sat and had her nuggets, fruit, and chocolate milk!
We let them play in the toy cars and airplanes for a while too!
I didn't get any carousel pictures, but this is where I had to pull Katie from after the carousel ride. She was dying to ride again, but we were headed home for naps!
It was a great morning spent with friends. The kind of morning that makes work so much less appealing! Which is why I was super glad we had one more day to spend together!

That looks like fun. Don't let Katie grow out of that kind of stuff because she's going to need to go to the puppet shows with Lilly when she's a little older.
i have really been wanting to take Caleb there, but was unsure he would sit through it! we are going now!!
That looks so fun! Dylan and Chase would love that - sometime we'll have to go. Great pictures too!
I love that place. My aunt took me there when I was a little girl. It's so cool.
