So first there was the Chinese birth calendar and then the doctor's comment about the heartbeat. There were many comments from onlookers about how I was carrying in my belly. Then came the final blow. The tried and true RING TEST performed by Jessica with her wedding band and dental floss! All of these things and people said we were having a boy!
But, as you may already know, we are going to be the proud parents of a little girl! That's right - get in line boys, a little baby girl Jones will be here in November!
I think she's going to be grounded first thing when she comes out for the deliberate disobedience to my desire for a boy. But, I was immediately over it! Actually, we had spent the previous Saturday with The Bozards whose little girl Elizabeth stole Doug's heart. I think it was God's way of showing me that we would be okay with a girl!
We're no where near ready, but we are excited!

That does make it more difficult to name her after a Lost Character though. Pretty much leaves, Claire, Kate, Juliet, Sun ... or some male variations ... Saw-rina, Lockette, Jackqueeta.

Rachel and Doug, Yeah for a girl! I have already told Denny he better work on a girl for number 2.But I must say, I love my 3 grandsons. We are so happy for you guys and are looking forward to seeing pictures of your new baby girl and Lindsay's little boy. Looks like your Texas trip was fun.
